THE CHRONICLE

2019 — present.

From two Battlefield players to full-scale armies: victories, disasters, hardware escalation and everything in between.

FOUNDING ERA
BATTLEFIELD 4 // FOUNDATIONMILESTONE

The first clan tag

Two players. Six letters. Battlefield only had room for four. GR33DY was born anyway.

The tag was tiny. The ambition was not.

FOUNDING ERA
PERSONNEL // EXPANSION

The third member

Two became three. The first recruitment drive was less a process than the first sign that this thing might actually be going somewhere.

EARLY ERA
FORTNITE // LONELY LODGEMILESTONE

The Lonely Lodge campaign

Fortnite came next. GR33DY camped at Lonely Lodge, got absolutely destroyed by twelve-year-olds, learned nothing, tried again and eventually started winning rounds.

Humility acquired. Temporarily.

EARLY ERA
PERSONNEL // FORTNITE

Fortnite brings another member

Fortnite did at least produce one undeniable victory: another member joined GR33DY. The roster grew; the children of Lonely Lodge could no longer contain us.

EARLY ERA
INFRASTRUCTURE // ESCALATION

A few thousand bucks later

A few thousand bucks in hardware later, the clan was ready for something more competitive. As always, the solution to a skill issue began with better equipment.

EARLY ERA
RAINBOW SIX SIEGEMILESTONE

Siege becomes home

GR33DY moved to Rainbow Six Siege with revenge in mind and found a home instead.

Angles, callouts, clutches and questionable runouts turned Siege into the game around which the clan truly formed.

SIEGE ERA
PERSONNEL // DEVELOPMENT

A promising young Padawan

A promising young Padawan was taken under the GR33DY wing. Training commenced. Expectations were unreasonable. This remains standard policy.

SIEGE ERA
PERSONNEL // EXPANSION

Candidates and further recruits

Candidates arrived, more members followed, and the clan stopped looking like two people with a four-letter tag.

EARLY YEARS
INFRASTRUCTURE

The hardware escalation

High-end gaming rigs arrived, followed by the entirely rational fear that no graphics card would ever be fast enough, no CPU new enough and no gaming chair overclockable enough. Some members appeared prepared to buy every GPU on the market in pursuit of roughly 0.3 additional frames per second.

The name GR33DY restored institutional calm. The accumulated hardware also made it possible to build gaming PCs for members and to start hosting servers, social channels, websites and other clan infrastructure.

EARLY YEARS
HARDWARE // PROCUREMENT

High-end rigs

No GPU was fast enough, no CPU new enough and no chair sufficiently gaming. GR33DY entered the high-end rig era with the financial restraint of a small space programme.

EARLY YEARS
HARDWARE // INCIDENTMILESTONE

The 0.3 FPS incident

At some point, another 0.3 FPS became a perfectly defensible reason to consider replacing hardware. The monitor might never display it. The benchmark would.

Sleep returned only after remembering the clan name.

EARLY YEARS
HARDWARE // REDISTRIBUTION

Enough hardware for everyone

The upgrade cycle left enough excellent hardware behind to build serious gaming PCs for others. Old parts became new rigs, and the pile of boxes acquired a purpose beyond interior design.

EARLY YEARS
INFRASTRUCTURE // ONLINE

Servers, socials and websites

Having accumulated hardware, members and opinions, GR33DY naturally needed servers, social channels, websites and assorted infrastructure.

A clan had become an institution, at least by its own procurement standards.

EARLY YEARS
INSTITUTIONAL CONFIDENCE

Formidable by internal assessment

GR33DY had become formidable. Gloriously enthroned on gaming chairs, the combined skill of its numerous members forced opponents to shiver.

History records this without hesitation. History is written by GR33DY.

EARLY YEARS
PERSONNEL // CONTINUED GROWTH

The roster grows with the game list

Every new game opened another door and somehow another person walked through it. The clan grew with the game library.

EARLY YEARS
SUPPLY // IDENTITY

Branded equipment enters the record

Once the identity had logos, colours and opinions, branded equipment was inevitable. Shirts, wallpapers, custom pieces — subtlety had officially left the building.

EARLY YEARS
CULTURE // OFFLINE

Friendship beyond the virtual world

The real upgrade was never hardware. GR33DY became a group that met, travelled, ate, drank, argued and stayed friends beyond the server.

The games kept changing. The people kept showing up.

2021
ROCKET LEAGUEMILESTONE

Rocket League enters regular rotation

In 2021, GR33DY added football with cars to the regular rotation. This sounded ridiculous right up until the ranks started climbing.

2021
EXPANSION

Rocket League enters rotation

Rocket League joins the list of regularly played GR33DY titles.

RECORD // Rainbow Six Siege

First Platinum member

gr33dy.Tamimore becomes the first GR33DY member to reach Platinum in Rainbow Six Siege.

gr33dy.Tamimore

2022
VALORANT

Valorant deployment

2022 brought Valorant: five players, precise aim, utility and yet another tactical shooter in which everybody suddenly had strong opinions about corners.

LATER 2022
CALL OF DUTY

Modern Warfare II / Warzone 2.0

Later in 2022, GR33DY deployed into Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0. Bullets flew, squads dropped and controller aim assist became a matter of constitutional importance.

LATER 2022
CALL OF DUTY // POLICYMILESTONE

The controller doctrine

GR33DY refuses to cheat by using a controller in a shooter. This doctrine proved incompatible with continued peace in Call of Duty, so the fleet set sail for new shores.

LATER 2022
OVERWATCH II

Landfall in Overwatch II

The fleet landed on Overwatch II. Different heroes, different chaos, same microphones.

EARLY 2023
PERSONNEL // EXPANSION

Another member joins

Early 2023 brought another member. By then the roster was large enough to generate the thermal output of a third sauna infusion.

RECORD // Rocket League

First Rocket League Champion

gr33dy.Hauni becomes the first GR33DY member to reach Champion in Rocket League.

LATE 2023
THE FINALSMILESTONE

The Finals enters the list

As 2023 approached its end, The Finals entered the rotation. Training began, strategies emerged and GR33DY prepared to boldly go where no team had gone before.

RECORD // The Finals

The Finals — Gold, Season One

gr33dy.Harvey, gr33dy.Satoru and gr33dy.Tamimore reach Gold in Season One of The Finals.

2024
UNSPECIFIED THEATREMILESTONE

Freedom and democracy deployment

In 2024, GR33DY proudly delivered freedom and democracy wherever the operation took us. Questions were answered with overwhelming firepower and excellent intentions.

FIRST HALF 2024
PERSONNEL // MAJOR EXPANSION

Three more members before mid-year

Before the first half of 2024 was over, three more members joined the team. The army was getting difficult to fit into a single voice channel.

2024
RECOGNITION // HARDWARE REUSE

Green Organization Award

GR33DY crowned its hardware-reuse programme with the Green Organization Award Twothousandandtwentyfour — the GOAT Award. Old components became complete gaming PCs and found new homes with low-budget gamers.

Green, greedy and genuinely useful.

EARLY 2025
THE FINALS

The Finals focus intensifies

Early 2025, GR33DY doubled down on The Finals. More rounds, sharper strategies, fewer excuses. Mostly fewer.

JUNE 2025
RAINBOW SIX: SIEGE XMILESTONE

Siege X: return to the old home

June 2025 brought Siege X and GR33DY went all in. Back to the game we love most — older, better equipped, more experienced and no less willing to blame the hitbox.

LATER 2025
LARGE-SCALE OPERATIONSMILESTONE

Full-scale armies

Later in 2025, the core GR33DY team rallied friends into full-scale armies and marched across the battlefield — unstoppable. unyielding. unforgettable.

SPRING 2026
OVERWATCH // RETURNMILESTONE

Return to Overwatch

Spring 2026: GR33DY returned to Overwatch ranked.

Bronzes, beware.

PRESENT
PERSONNEL // CURRENT ROSTER

Twelve official members

Twelve official members now carry the tag. What started with two players and a truncated Battlefield clan tag has become years of games, hardware, friendship and highly unnecessary institutional ceremony.

SIDE ARCHIVE

Other fronts.

Operations worth preserving even where the exact date was lost to the fog of war.

ARMA 3 // SIDE OPERATION

ARMA 3 deployment

ARMA 3 demanded patience, coordination and the occasional five-minute briefing before being shot from a bush. Naturally, GR33DY deployed.

FOR HONOR // SIDE OPERATION

For Honor deployment

For Honor added swords, duels and entirely new ways to blame timing. The campaign was brief; the honour was immaculate.

APEX // SIDE OPERATION

Apex deployment

Apex brought speed, verticality and squads that could be separated from each other with remarkable efficiency. GR33DY adapted. Mostly.

MORDHAU // SIDE OPERATION

Mordhau deployment

Mordhau proved that a sword can solve problems normally reserved for rifles — and create several new ones.

ELDEN RING // SIDE OPERATION

Elden Ring deployment

Elden Ring temporarily replaced team comms with rolling, dying and insisting the boss was definitely one hit away.
